I'll tell you something, Carbonio is a MAJOR pain the arse to fit- took me hours to get the filter on mine :)

I clearly suck at modding cars then :cartman:

I just could not get the damn filter on with the pipe in place!

yep - i've cleaned my filter recently.

I take the filter and metal right-angle tubing out together, clean, and then refit - pushing from bottom up.

Piece of cake :)

OK that's where I went wrong :) I fitted the carbon pipe, then got under the car and tried to fit the filter- silly boy!

i fitted the carbon pipe first to - never moved it since - the rubber joining pieces and the metal right angle come off in 1 go.

how did you clean it paul?

lol, i didn't!

I decided I wanted a BMC CDA and sold the Carbonio after about 3 months.

The BMC just looked better under the bonnet:

i think he meant me... lol

I cleaned it using a k&n cleaner kit - cost about £10 from ebay.

Cleaned with the spray, some water. left to dry naturally, added a bit of oil.
Voila :)

didnt have to remove wheel arch on mine - just jacked the car up slightly and managed to get it out through the bottom of the bumper :)

Took me 5mins to remove, but about 15 to re-install due to the awkwardness :(

I think thats a lot for an engine cover aswell,no matter how sexual it looks.

My Carbonio was bought 2nd hand with 2000 miles on it,so im gonna clean it before i put it on,then probably about every 5000 miles afterwards.

Only 20 days left till warrenty runs out so will be fitted then.

Still think i might put a cold air feed from behind the lower grill to it.
