hi got a leon cupra r and had a full powerflow exhaust and i have had a light on my dash come on it is the excessive polution light . did u have it on yours .

this isnt the right section really but, i would say it is emission sensor, i see you have a K&N too, theese are bad, remove instantly, i dont have an aftermarket exhorst, but what size pipe was it made out of as powerflow can cut corners sometimes.



p.s Scotty Avic x1 - r being picked up on saturday but the bloke said i need to connedt to the speed pulse generator wire, where the hell is that?

they have an oil coated cone, this when it comes in contact with the MAF it messes with it and causes lights to appear on your dash.

Same warning light as the excess pollution... as the light is really the Check Engine Light...

just an update.

yesterday i bought my pioneer avic x1-r and ch changer

took a but of messing to wire it all in got a little tidying to do aswel, I also ran in my 3 RCA cables power cable and control wire, gave it a little test and it is a fab piece of kit,

pics to follow amps and subs to be done over crimbo,

ok progress report,

fitted the pioneer HU i must say its mint, my neons arrived finally but Fuel have sent a few extra goodies for it being late,

ive been gathering all the other little bits to do the ice install over xmas,

i was going with a split battery charge system, i still might but in the mean time i have a power cap for each amp, i know one would be fine but it will look cool,

ill try to get some pics up when its being fitted and of the headunit.

Rick did you get the speed wire sensor? If you look on ICECAVERN they have some pictures up of how to get it. Basically its one of the wires connected to the back of the standard head unit to make it louder as you go faster.

Vid looks great, car looks awesome on those wheels and where did you get all those extra coloured hoses? Any extra pics of them?

the hoes are from an kit car parts place they do red yellow blue green purple, ill find the site for u tonight, yes found the sensor wire, its blue and white , plugged all the rest in but when i drive it turns the sat nave background black then i take out the key and it goes white, i take it is because the dash lights are on all the time and it picks the feed from them, i need a switched live from the side lights,

Thats the problem i have, my sat nav is always set to day light for some reason as i cant find the light switch wire. You can set it on the settings tho.

Yeah a web site would be good, is it just a cover then?

Its a known problem on the X1 with SEAT's. Because the dash lights are on all the time the HU thinks your lights are on if set to auto mode. Just do it manually, I tend to leave mine in daytime mode all the time anyway.

Id rather re wire the lights, if i can find the right wire on the X1. It can only be a case of removeing a wire from the head unit and then pointing it at another point that takes the power from the side lights

what does yours do? did you do it yourself

All done by myself so you could say its a bit dodgy! Its all there and worken fine, the pioneer guy was quite impressed too. But mine shows it being daylight 24/7 as i couldnt find which one was the right light wire. Would like to find out tho

oh, mine is set to the darker one as the white is too bright, and when you set the clock displays up on to hollogram it illuminates purple
