pump disconected

hi, i've just noticed what looks to be a water pump disconected its to the left handside of the radiator at the top, does anyone know what this is and what it does? is it something to do with the turbo cooling? after a run i always let the turbo cool down anyway but just want to know what this is, when i plug it in it buzzes and when the keys are out of the ignition it still buzzes. cheers

not 100% sure but think your on right tracks with it cooling turbo down.i know my mates tt made the same noise and that was the pump cooling the turbo down so it can only be a good thing.

Do u think i should leave it disconected or plug it back in? i thought it must be faulty when i heard it still buzzin once key was out the ignition and thats why it was disconected in the first place? who knows just to find out what to do. cheers

plug it in.my cupra buzzes once turned off and with keys in ignition. its a safty feature.
