I know both of mine have done it my first cupra had a bang on a kerb haed enough to deflate a tyre but my cupra tdi is pulling just the same and its never had a knock....
It may not even be the tyres...I know once on my cupra 20vt after hitting the kerb the steering was pants..understeering on left handers and tucking in on rights so I had the geometry checked and it was fine..I was convinced something wasn't right so I took the wheel of at home and found some play in the casteleated nut that joins the hub to the lower wishbones..I tightened this up fully tight and the prob was solved...of all cars I have ever had the Leon is the most fussy about being set up exactly right...Its probably the geometry needed as mentioned to prevent torque steer getting out of hand..the engine has unequal length driveshafts which doesn't help
