Proper battery box Best value for £16

Not a new mod or postbut just such fine value.
Parts needed:
Ref: 1K0 915 336 B (back cover)
Ref: 1K0 915 335 C (front cover)
Ref: 1K0 915 443 A (Top cover)
£16 from your local VW dealer- these numbers worked last week.
Tools needed - small spanner for battery terminals and larger spanner for battery anchor bracket.
Method:
1. Disconnect both battery terminals.
2. Remove hideous felt battery sleeve
3. Unclamp and remove battery
3. Fit rear half of new 3 piece battery box
4. Replace and re clamp battery
5. Fit front half of new battery box
6. fit lid and admire!!

These battery covers are fitted as standard on VW Caddy van TDi, so should be OK. I'm hopefully going to find out as a mate has a van not being used at the mo, so I will be able to check.

I agree it is a pearoast but was so pleased I couldn't resist writing it up again- every time I opened the bonnet and got over the cheap nasty bit of wire which you prop it with I would see the poverty spec black felt battery cover and wince at the cheapskate who thought it would be OK to have a piece of cr*p like that under the bonnet.
