Hi everyone, does anyone have a similar experience? Any help is appreciated.
TL;DR: Got a new Cupra Born V4 but online services are not working and I have no idea what to do.
I got my new Cupra Born V4 a month ago. I was never able to register myself as a primary user of the car or use any of the online services, I would go through the required step, and the last step is to scan the QR code shown on the infotainment, except the QR code never shows up and the account linking process times out after approximately 5 minutes.
Naturally, I got concerned and I contacted my dealer to solve the problem, I got an appointment and the dealer checked everything and decided to reset the whole process of car delivery to a new customer. After an hour or so at the dealer, the problem was solved and I was finally able to register myself as a primary user and access online services.
Later that same day, after driving back home and turning off the car, I noticed that the app didn't show correct information about the battery, location, etc.. I didn't think much of it as I usually park the car in the underground garage. Since then, I am again not able to use any of the online services or register an additional user - the same problem occurs, the QR code never shows up and it times out after a while.
Other online services which do not work:
* Cannot see the Software ID
* Cannot use internet radio
* Cannot access the Store
* Cannot add an additional user to the car
* Mobile app displays old details from two weeks ago
* Cannot lock or unlock the car remotely
* Cannot turn heating on or off from the mobile app
Note that all my privacy settings are good, I allowed data usage and location sharing. I have also tried to reset the infotainment by holding the power button for 15 seconds. The 4G icon displays in white color (not greyed out) and as I understand I have an online connection. The SOS button is green lit. Car navigation works okay but I think it doesn't use internet services in this case.
I tried to call the dealer again and they claimed that there's an issue with Cupra connect at the moment and requires some patience, however, this was the case from the very beginning since I got the new car which was exactly one month ago.
I really like the car otherwise, but it's a bummer - I want to enjoy the new car to the fullest but can't because of this problem. Cupra support is not helpful and the dealer doesn't have a clue.
