problem with turbo changing

i fitted a turbo from octavia rs-leon fr tdi 170 ps on my altea 140 tdi and now i have a small (big) problem.

turbo is working, car is going much better in all revs and gears but my problem is that turbo is always on! vacuum valve seems to be out, it does not turn of the charger.

when i fitted the turbo i also leaved on the original vacuum valve from the turbo 170 ps even though i so a electrical connector on top of the valve (valve from 140 ps does not have this) because i thought that this is only some measuring control or something like that but now i'm not to sure.

does anyone know what is this connector do or what is for, is it some control or blockage of the valve or what?
any other ideas maybe what would cause my turbo to always stay on.

I would say that the electrical connector on the 170 PD turbo controls the vacuum valve in some way.

Maybe best to get the rest of the loom and try and fit it into you altea. Hopefully the connector will be in you own loom as the Altea FR TDI has the same turbo so with some luck, the 140 PD Altea may have the same loom.

Hope this helps.

i was thinking to get my old vacuum valve from 140ps turbo and fit him on to new turbo charger. the old one has a shorter rod but it seems to me that the travel length is the same.
so my idea is to cut the bar and weld it on the new shelf and by that to use old valve on the new charger.
i'm only wondering what am i missing with this connector

solved. i cut the bar on old and new valve, refitted the old valve on the new turbo , everything's working fine.
i tried also measuring blocks in vag com and the new turbo has almost the same data as the old charger (a bit higher but that was the point). now - new chip of the car, it seems to me that the new turbo is a bit different in medium rews, and because of the dsg box i will probably limit the max torque in the lower rews.
Just want to say something more about this whole job - to much hustle, problems, adjustments and refitting in this case from 170 to 140 ps.
This turbo now is turned by 180 dg, new exhaust branch, new piping for oil, new intercooler hoses...

Davey, thanks for your help.
cheers
