problem with my diesel

got a 150bhp fr, having trouble with the vacuum control intake flap. i have replaced the n75 and n73 valves which has not helped. however if you remove the two vacuum pipes from the n73 valve and hold them together it will close the control flap???. i have also tested the electrical feed to the valves and everything is how it should be! any ideas.

whats does the N73 operate? ive only heard of N18 and N75

if you pull your intake pipe off there is a vacuum controlled flap, the n73 controls this. the n73 valve is the small one located next to the n75 and has a grey top!

as far as i am aware thats called the N18, it certainly is on the 90 and 110 engines. This controls the EGR. So your pipes run to the bit with the silver cap on at the back left of the engine yeah?
