Problem at 5K + RPM

Hi guys,

Not been on for ages, even managed to buy a Leon since the last time I was here...but now I got a problem with my old baby, and need some help!!

It completely loses 'puff' at 5K, any gear, feels like its on the REV limiter.

No idea what the problem could be, and currently have no experience of playing with the engine etc, but am looking to get into it!

The only mods it has had was an APR conversion when about 6 months old, but the problem presents itself whether this is activated or not.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Oh yeah, its been serviced regularly, but I suppose you can never be sure it was done properly!

if its a k03 its normal for it to lose puff about 5.5k
a k03s will pull to redline.
The APR conversion may just be a remap to the ecu

Sorry -- wasn't clear in my original post...it wont go past 5-5.5K RPM

APR was just a remap, just thought it might help any possible diagnostics!
