Im after a new IC kit for my "hybrid plus" setup as I think my forge isn´t up for the job

Has anyone tried one of these kits? (vs forge fmic)

http://www.proalloy.co.uk/cgi-bin/sitewise.pl?act=det&pt=52_921_62_634&p=721&id=proalloy

I would like a complete kit as car will be in for a new map soon and I dont have the time to start collecting different pipes/hoses etc to make everything fit.
Need a plug and play solution!

Thanks in advance?

That is one the one I had that Joe now has. Its a good cooler, but the silicone is poor and the cooler doesnt fit in the middle, and the crash bar needs cutting.

I make centering brackets for the cooler :)

The cooler and pipework that James had just done on his ibiza looks great: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=293517&page=9

Thanks Alex

So there´s fitting issues with this cooler as midle section doesn´t fit propebly? (could be fixed with your coustom brackets I guess)

Does the bumper also needs a lot of trimming to make it fit as is says "No trimming or cutting needed" in the advert.

It has a rather hefty price tag aswell!

James cooler looks good but fidly to make everything fit as summer season is here:) I might give him a pm to hear with pipes, bends and hoses needed for this setup as I found pipework to be the most time consuming when fitting universal intercoolers.

It didnt need a massive amount of cutting, but I cut loads away as I bought the thicker cored cooler and managed to make it fit with aircon. I later removed the aircon anyway.

If you dont use my brackets then the cooler sits too high and over to the right. Who would want a cooler thats not in the middle?!

You will need the aircon removed to fit the same cooler as me.. you might get away with mounting the rad further back with one of alex's brackets.
Also a fair bit of trimming to the crashbar, slampannel and bumper.
Well worth the hassel though as it cost a fraction of the price of a proalloy and works/looks just as nice.

Looks like the same size cooler as mine. I had to do a fair bit of cutting too but I welded some of the supports back in because the front end was seriously flexy. I also made most of mine from solid piping rather than having lots of silicone joins.

VERY flexy lol the cooler bracket also acts as a support for the slam pannel too, better than it was to start with now

Here it is, I run this with my ko3 hybrid.

Mine was around the same price.. looks the same but I baught it from toyosports and it has toyosports stamped into the bottom plate.
Not that its really a name you want to brag about haha.. nice bit of kit for the money though

i've got the pro alloy one yes, it's tight i must admit, iirc they do 2 different size thickness cores, i've retained my aircon and didn't trim anything off the bumper apart from taking the lower honeycomb grill off.

Thanks for the tips lads

My problem beeing that over here in Norway you get stopped by police/natinal car-authorities if you have a flashy cooler in the front as tuning is higly-illiegal even tho everyone´s doing it.

So what Im after is a cooler where I can re-fit the standard honeycombe mesh with some modifications.

I dont have aircon and also got hold of a set of Alex´s special made brackets so I recon it would be enough space for the proalloy one even tho its silly-money.

Im going in for a remap on my k03 hybrid plus setup with forge FMIC on the 9th of may so I´ll have some more info after that, but I don´t think the forge will cope with the heat so time will tell.

Please keep posting experineces with different BIG coolers.
