Hi all,

I'm looking into getting some pressed plates made for my car (road legal ones of course). Just a few questions as I'm not too sure whether to get them.

Would they attract alot of police attention even if they were legal? Got nothing to hide just don't want the hassle of proving they are legal, or can you get a note from the company (e.g dubmeister or europl8) saying they are legal?

Another thing is i have never used sticky pads before for number plates and was wondering which ones to get and where from? :)

Any other info i should know about pressed plates please let me know as I'm new to number plate stuff :)

Thanks :D

i had mine from the bristol vw show back in august i think , not been pulled once touch woood ,

i have the proof of purchase stating legal font there folded in my sunvisor ready
and if they are ar$ey coppers just point out the Bsau number if he says tuff walk over t o his car and show him his bsau number job done 1 nil to the motorist

i used the sticky tape they provided , but isnt that good as its metal ,

for the past few months ive just duct taped them back on (shite i know )

but as soon as weather gets warmer i will be off to halfords to buy their sticky pads , ive used them for years on various cars and no problems whatsoever even with monster subs pushing the bootlid

just need to make sure you clean the plate and where your sticking it to thourouly with the alcohol wipes they come with
