Powers at be, if someone could maybe shed some light on a bung...

1.8T MK2 Conversion
ok, speaking to Jenk, and he has prefacelift wings, but with an aerial on the roof... this means a redundant hole in the wing, which was filled in with a bung... is this bung available from seat...? it must be a seat part but phoned SEAT barnsley and the guy had no idea... but to be fair, he had no idea where to start looking for it, or whether there was actually 2 different type of ibiza (facelift/pre) in the mk2.

If someone that has access to the available software could look and see if there is a part number for this part, or if it is something which ill have to make myself, that would be great :D.

I would just put a normal bung in there but then the holes not round

Thanks in advance

Is it just a rubber bung?

If so then at some point in the cars life someone could have just put one the roof aerial. I know I used to do it with the Mk1 Golf’s I had.

If you need a bung then most motor factors will do them.

or go to somewhere like the plumbing dept of B&Q , or similar.. get a rubber 'bung' as you call it, to hold it tight, smear a bit of silicon around it :)

good news! yes you can get them but not from seat uk. I know what your on about it is a small rubber bung which popps into the hole in the pre-facelift wing. it sits almost flush with the top of the wing so not to let any water in.
they are blak in colour but can be painted to match

Last time i saw them on german ebay for a few euro's.
I don't have time to search at the moment but if you use an online translator and german ebay you should be able to find one

I just push my aeriel right down, less hassle and listen to CD's
