power loss, pre heating problem HELP

Basically, yesterday i started my car after the preheat light had gone off, it revved up to 2k automatically, then when i pulled away the preheat light flashed repeadedly. i could live with this briefly, except it has no power at all. its like there is no turbo, and an anti turbo instead.





please help.

new development:

this only happens when the engine is already warm.

started a bit slowly this morning which may be a glow plug problem? and had full power. only when i came back to the car, what i have mentioned inmy first post happened, and no power.

sounds like the fuel pump. gow plug light flashes when the quantity adjuster in the pump is failing. get a diagnostic check and look for quantity adjuster: upper limit reached.

Glow plugs wouldn't do this when your running. They only aid starting AFAIK.
