Hi,

i have never had aftermarket wheels before and have just bought some, when they arrive will my existing wheel bolts be fine to use? Im not sure if i need new ones for the new wheels?

I realise this could be/is a stupid question!

Cheers in advance :)

Are they the same offset as your existing wheels?

My RS4 wheels have an ET45 offset whereas my Audi rims were ET56. I had to use longer bolts and also ensure they have a tapered head wheel bolt to ensure they seat within the holes properly.

Are the aftermarket company not providing the shims and bolts?

should be fine bud, straight swap as far as i know, what u doing with the FR ones?

ive got two sets of fr ones and selling one set now haha

There was a thread about going from steel wheels to alloy think you need different bolts for some reason, just make sure the ones you have ordered are the right fitments. What you bought?

Ill have to see when they arrive if the ones i have now will be okay with the new wheels and see my readers ride :p

Same offset but half an inch wider. Im not too sure, ill have to try and email them today i reckon.

Cheers for the help so far everybody :)

Bolts for aftermarket wheels should have a tapered face - standard bolts are radius. I found this out when putting on my spacers that came with the wrong ones :(

They are gloss black from factory, but you dont have to worry about it as they sold right away and got offered more than asking price and picked up :)

Would they fit over the AP Calipers?
I'd be interested if they did!

Sadly they wont fit over them calipers as far as i am aware but they are gone anyway.

there sold now, not surprised at that deal.....

Shame you wernt closer :p

Anyway im hoping my new wheels will arrive for the weekend, then ive gotta see if my existing bolts will work and see about clearances with the 20mm spacers, then see about tyres haha Hopefully with the skinnier tyres and slight stretch i can go lower on the front :D
