was driving around today and i notice something weird.
i was in 6th gear doing about 50-60 just tootling along then the road went to 2 lanes instead of dropping a gear i put my foot down the revs started to go up then once they hit about 4-5k it dropped a little then when on as normal.
is this whats described as turbo surge or stall. could this be because im running standard dv and having a stage 1 map??

I would expect clutch slip to make the revs go up rather than down, unless when it went up to 4-5k the cars speed didnt change in relation to the engine speed change.

Sounds like maybe a misfire to me.

I'm reading it as clutch slip. If you're doing 50-60 in 6th and boot it the turbo kicking in will give a boost spike and so a torque spike and slip the clutch. Then the drop in revs is the clutch starting to bite again as the boost tails off.
