the wiring is'nt tight as the picture makes it look Liam, its just how I tucked it down the side of the TIP. MAF can rotate as desired, and there's slack in the cable to it whichever way its rotated (within reason)

no probs bill was on thinking about turning it an 1"

not a problem. MAF can rotate where ever you like it so long as its not beyond 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock - wiring is not tight, just tucked away. You will see ecu cage is mounted on a new bracket, and cage had to be opened to facilitate this. (snap bolts in there from new, damned factory)

When you come down tomoz, I will be able to show you everything thats been done and I hope you will see the amount of work involved in all the bits n bobs. Nothing has been simple on this project. Its taken far too long, and for that I appologise. I seriously under estimated the work hours it was going to take. :banghead:

right.. for those who thought i may have been sat on my arse...
I am very very very busy, and bespoke project builds like these are custom all sorts of parts which soaks up time like a sponge.
It does'nt look like much, but there are litterally >100hours in this build.

it runs tho! ;)

Fuel pump located where filter was, and filter located in engine bay now. Hooked up to get working, whilst the new stainless steel push conenct fittings are being made, then just swap out the temp pipes for the pukka ones. Sufficient to get it going and tested tho

some slight weaping from the oil filter sandwich plate outlet fittings to sort (tighten), and a small coolant dribble to also tighten, otherwise all look ok so far.

first start of the key it fired up.

few little finishing bits to do, and mapping of course. We are very nearly there finally.
first map to flash into it tomorrow, so it knows its got bigger injectors and MAF, and we take it from there.

Hoping for some dry conditions. :hide: as traction is going to be a non-starter

is the picture of the fuel pump to show were its got fitted as its not the under side of the polo my brake pipe dont got any were near the filter

It is yep - lol - well spotted you win a prize

when my new production stainless fittings are completed the current pipework & pump will be swapped out. Location of pump is the same as tufftys S3 (his picture), and filter relocated to the front now, same as his. Neater install, especially when the fittings are ready. plug n play

like below

(and the surface finish will be smoother on the production ones-pictured is the first off mild steel proof ones-on tufftys car being tested currently)

:)

green filters cone on there, which i can supply.. also JR ones if peeps want them too

cars driven yesterday, traction is an issue :p , now weathers pi$$ing down its a no go, and until the tax arrives it will sit in the workshop.

the annoying water leaks are fixed and its reassembled again.
the oil cooler kit is of shite quality, and the fittings have refused to seal on their own, and have been on and off and on and off too many times  Sealed now, with hydraulic sealer used. very poor quality fittings with surface finish being very poor such that the cone seat would never seal. Sorted, but just a pain to have to keep dismantling it to get it to do what it should have done out of the box.

1st maps in it, and logging commenced.

I preferred the R32 style wheels myself... wider wheels if it were mine. 8x17. nice and lightweight pro-race ones are good but too narrow for my liking personally. probably drives better on the 7x17" rims, but wider ones would have been my choice. the 205-40-17 tyres overhang the rims (bulge slightly, look flat despite putting 35psi in them)

regards
bill
