Ive looked in the problems forum and found a few threads on the pollution light.

Mine has come on tonight.

I just have a couple of question and thought this would be the best place/section to ask.

I have breakdown cover, can I get someone out to look at it.....I dont have homestart so it would have to be at work for example. Will the AA/RAC etc come out if the car is running, I'm thinking that they may be able to do the diagnostic check for me! that way I wont have to pay a dealer.

2nd question. Still related. I had my service end of Jan when the 3yr warranty ran out, I mentioned that it was struggling to start a little, although it always started it was just seemed to struggle. SEAT dealer said they would have a look whilst being serviced. Upon my return, when i asked the guy at the service desk, he said it was a temp sensor and they would call me to get sorted. Well the car has still been starting and generally been OK BUT i never got the call from dealer. Arnold Clarke, need I say more! Im now thinking I should call them and complain that I never got the call and that the light is on my dash.

Its only just out of warranty and when the service was done it was still in warranty and was meant to have the temp sensor done. To be honest I didnt believe him when he said it was the temp sensor.

Do you guys think they will do what is needed doing free of charge as its just out of warranty and was actually meant to have something done that im still waiting for!

Sound like it all adds up to the temp sensor - I would say that s it was reported to them and they diagnosed it BEFORE the warranty expired, then they should still fix it under warranty, although you might have afight on your hands if they don't have a record of it.

It's actually a 10 minute job, and the parts are about £20, so it's no problem if you end up doing it yourself, although if the car's been runing rich because of the sensor, you might get other problems...

No, it won't have been - but then the car runs rich and over time the ECU can't adapt to the rich condition and sticks the light on.

Update. Phoned dealer today, what a load of b*lloc*s.

Phoned at 8.15am spoke to service desk person. Said was still waiting for a call from them for last 2 months! Guy said would have to chase it up. Didnt call me by 10.30 so decided to phone them, guess what, the computer was down! yeah, sure!

Said would call me and hadnt forgotten as my name was right in front of him (what on invisible paper in invisible ink)......4.30pm call them......hes busy with a customer. "Can he call me please" I ask, still no call. WTF

Tomorrow im gonna see my arse with them big time!

Have had a crap day besides and noticed another ding in my drivers door......cant people be more careful when opening doors etc!!!
