Had my Engine Diagnosis light come on recently. The car has driven absolutely spot on ever since though. I thought it would just be a sensor or something trivial as everything else was fine.
A guy I know through work (who works for the AA recovery) came to have a quick look tonight. He plugged his device into the OBD port (think it was called a viXen?) to check the fault code, but it didn't even power up. No matter what state of ignition the car was in, it still didn't power up. He said he'd only known it happen on 1 other car before, and he thought it was a fuse blown. He checked the fuse box under the dash and also the one next to the battery, but everything seemed to be fine.
Just wandering if anyone has had something similar happen to them? If not, does anyone know where the power fuse would be that could cause the problem? I'm only aware of those 2 fuse boxes in the car. Its annoying as I can't even find the fault code in the first place!!
Cheers guys

Oh right, I had no idea, thought it was just one of their generic toys.
I did mention VAGCOM to him but he said it should work fine

Just spoke to the guy again, and he said legally, cars from 2001 onwards have to be compatable with that serial port device, but it is a possibility. Will have to VAGCOM it somehow and check
