Haha yeh riko, thats no bad thig though as yours is very tidy ;)

Just another update for even more new bits!

Got my HIDs on the other night and my god are they bright!!! Very happy with them.

Got the 15mm Eibach spacers on the back today after getting great service from Grayston who supplied the wheel bolts (M12x1.5 45mm long) at very short notice = winner!
Not had a chance to test the handling yet as ive been messing about with new brakes on a mates MK5 Golf today

Did manage to change out the spark plugs today for some NGK BKR7E jobs (one heat range colder). Glad i did as the old ones looked a little worn and the one in cyl 3 had a chunk of the ceramic end missing!

Fitted my new N75F valve the other day which has cured my overboosting (now spiking to 18psi rather than 20), eratic off boost driving and that whistling noise has now gone and has been replaced by the usual turbo spool which is now lovely and smooth :D

Replaced my pollen filter as my fans were stinking

Going to replace the fuel filter tomorrow when i get a chance and thatll be my 80k service done

The car has never run so well since ive had it so im glad i took the hit on new bits, its been worth it!

Time to go and enjoy it now :funk:

Well what a mess about ive had over the last few days

Went to fit my oil temp sender in the oil filter housing and didnt realise it was too long until the next day i noticed oil had come up through the sender and had filled one of the bullet connectors! So i whipped it out and it look like this:

:headhurt: Not good!

The other end of it was somewhere in my oil filter housing :thumbd:

So off to vw, again, for a seal that goes between the oil cooler/heat exchanger and a new oil filter along with another 5L of Synta Gold (i had only just changed the oil 500 miles ago aswell!).

Anyway whipped off the oil filter (well i tell a lie, i had to ram a screw driver through it to crack it off as numbnuts here didnt oil the seal when fitting it 6k ago ), took off the retaining nut for the cooler and had a good look around. No chunks to be seen

I then came to the conclusion (read: hoping with everything crossed!) that the end of the sender had ended up in the oil filter and NOT the block!

I had also ordered a new revotech temp sender from demon tweeks (hoping that it would work with my autoguage oil temp guage) along with an adaptor to take the 1/8NPT thread to the correct M10x1. Fitted them and put everything back together, filled with oil and joy of joys everything seems fine! :funk:

Went out for a wee jolly to check everything was fine/no leaks and it was/is.

Had an interesting moment when the back end went walkies, again, at 40 round a bend. So took it easy on the way home and tucked the little **** up for the night.

So moral of the story? Dont fit an oil temp sender to your oil filter housing without using an adaptor or it might end up looking like mine did!

Anyway for now im done pissing around with the engine as im sick of doing oil changes (much as i have it down to a fine art) and im sick of spending what little money i have right now on it!

Next job is to detail it in a month or so's time and get some decent photos so i can update this thread.

Ta for reading :)

Not much happening with this recently, just been enjoying it :)

Went to Crail for a bit of quarter mile action last weekend and ran a 14.678 @ 94.7mph which im happy with :D

Just need an exhaust, TIP and fmic and that should come down again :p

Still couldnt beat my mate in his 98 spec JDM Integra type R, and hes a smug git aswell. Mind you he only ran a 14.60 so there wasnt much in it :censored:

Unfortunately it was a Fast Car day so there was 210 cars using the strip including some total rafts and neds that do burnouts whilst at the start of a 45 minute que for the strip

Did manage to waste a new Focus ST (anti-social ***** that never said one word in the que and was NAE happy when he got beat! :cartman:) and a mk4 FR TDi ibiza off here which apparently had ~200hp and 300 odd torques (claimed) but was a nice lad driving who took it all very well ;)

Oh and as usual theres something that needs replaced

This time its the green 4 pin temp sensor as my rad fan has stopped working. Ive checked the common fuse fault and that hasnt happened, the temp gauge works as it should and the sec. water pump is still coming on so i think the sensor should be the cause.

Cheap to sort though so for once im not bothered

Anyway bring on the dry weather and the next quarter mile day, im hooked now

Please excuse the watermarks on them. Oh and also excuse my ugly unshaven mug. Was an early start that morning :p

You may be able to see that i had no interior in that day (or for the rest of the following week!) which was great fun :D Car was like a bloody missile!

On another note my new temp sensor is in and everything is working as it should again. Even my dodgy heaters which used to pulse hot and cold on any setting other than LO, 18, 28 or HI hahaha! Rad fans are also back on which has in turn reduced my slightly high oil temps. Winner!

2 new tyres are en route to replace the rears then im done with refreshing stuff for now :funk:

Hahaha youre not the first person to notice that!

Wasnt too noisey but the standard exhaust hisses something rotten when your booting it!

Ive disabled the pass seat airbag with vagcom now so its permanently disconnected ready for the next day :funk:

Tyres turned up today aswell so they are going on on thursday evening :D

Well ive decided to sell up now as i just cant afford to take the car in the direction i want to.

A thread should be appearing in the SEATs for sale section very soon ;)

I will miss it and someone will get a fantastic deal but ho hum, onwards and upwards (in terms of capacity and cyl count :p) as they say :D
