Ebay FMIC kit
Replace my non functional voltage gauge with a Oil Temp item and get the backlighting hooked up in both
A detail which its desperately in need of as im a bit of a clean freak
A set of Bills front disks
Install my front components, sub and amp (subtle with a bit of kick ;))
Perhaps some form of bracing for the struts (well see, for now i think its fine without!)

So enough of that and heres a few pics

Looks mint mate! Black is by far the best colour when really clean! Just love the lines of our mk3's the mk4's look boxy and gay in my opinion!

Nice :)

Are the LM's on the Polo genuine or replicas? Think genuine ones might fit over brembos with a spacer but the reps wouldnt, i had a set on my old Ibiza

Just noticed the heading says mk2 but its a mk3?

They were 17x8 LM Reps on the polo.

Couldnt afford the real deal haha!

Indeed i dont understand why this has been moved. Its certainly not a mk2!

Edit: Just changed the thread title so all is well now :funk:

Well joy of joys, pretty sure my clutch release bearing is giving up the ghost very quickly so ive just got a mate at VW to order me up a G60 Flywheel and VR6 clutch and will hopefully be getting that on sharpish ;)

Ah Walshy, how goes it?

Wee update for everyone:

Collected my G60 flywheel and VR clutch today from VW. Didnt manage to get the setup as cheap as some have but ill save on the fitting thanks to a mate who runs a garage (used to be a tech at VW :))

Also found out that my front pads are shot (silly me wasnt paying attention to any other noises than the ones coming from the gearbox area )

So a trip to seat and they start giving me **** about chassis numbers and why do i have ICR brakes on an IC etc etc.

Quick call to Bill at Badger5 and ive got a set of ferodo front pads on their way for less than seat wanted for standard items :funk:

Me - 1, Aberdeen SEAT - 0 :p

Anyway some pics of the fly/clutch bits for those who get off on that sort of thing ;)

Well just done another oil change as the engine was starting to sound a tad tapety but its smooth as anything now!

Also took the chance to fit new rear discs as my zimmerman items (i think they were zimmer's?!) were totally nailed

Had to resolder one of my 6x9 connections as we pulled it out of its crimp

Oh and also had to pull the rear top mounts off the coilies as they had been put on upside down and werent actually done up properly
Obviously i didnt fit them but i was pretty shocked but its all sorted now :)

No new pics just yet either but once ive detailed her and fitted:
Rear spacers - Eibach 15mm jobs
HID's - got a brand new 6000k 55w setup for £55 from a UK seller :funk:

Ill be sure to get some fresh shots ;)

Nice progress mate, quite abit of work done. Did you get the flywheel lightened or keep it standard weight?

Just kept it standard weight for now. If i end up going down the K03s route then i may get it lightened and balanced :)

Oh and ive noticed a strange whistle coming from the turbo. I know turbos make a whistling noise when they spool but this ones different. It happens when at half throttle holding the car anywhere between 0 and ~8 psi but as soon as the foot goes down the whistle changes and you can hear the turbo spool again

I did have an intermittent fault on the n75 (iirc it was voltage too low) so ive ordered a new one to see if thats what is causing it. If not im at a loss so any suggestions?

Oh and the fitting of the rear discs didnt go quite as planned, my rear brakes are pretty much bound on now and i cant even get the handbrake up to its first click its that tight, guess who didnt use a piston wind back tool

Luckily a mate has one so will be getting a shotty of it tomorrow so will see if can rectify that problem

More new bits!

Right new bits time!

Got my rear brakes sorted today. Only took about 20 mins and was a doddle to do with the proper tools

Anyway my HID's and spacers arrived today and yesterday so i just thought id chuck some pics up (everyone loves new bits )

First off a 6000k 55w HID kit from ebay (UK seller with 2 year garuntee):

These should (fingers crossed) be going on tonight before i go to the gym, providing i can find a place to put the ballasts, until i next have the front bumper off anyway. May stick them just under the headlights if i can get in about, well see.

And secondly a set of Eibach Pro-Spacers in a 30mm axle widening flavour (15mm per side).
Cant get over just how light these things are!!! Just need to find a set of longer radius seated bolts and ill get them on aswell :D
