Glad its not just me (I thought I was being fairly balanced/reasonable in my opinions - especially having spent £17k on a car).
Current thoughts are still very mixed. My commute to work is not too bad (still not as relaxing a drive as it was in my Altea mind) and agree that first squirt of the throttle on an empty piece of road is great.
At the weekend however took the family down a stretch of the A38 and the car was bouncing and bucking like you wouldn't believe (not to mention the tyre roar). To top it off I now have at least 3 separate rattles and the plastic sill guard popped off tonight when I caught my foot on it getting out of the car.
So you can add poor build to the noise and ride.
Don't get me wrong, if you're in the mood on the right road and in the right circumstances the car is a hoot to drive (looks great too), its just that 80% of the time that's not the case (rush hour traffic, hard day at work, car full of passengers etc).
