picked up my car this morning - fr diesel in red, 18in alloys and the rest is pretty much standard.
bad points - the alloys are scuffed (which im sure weren't when i placed the order last week)
at time of order it had an armrest and now its mysteriously disapeared, had a chat and its going back in on monday for the issues to be sorted out.
it sooo quick though: wheel spinning off the lights without realising i was thrashing it :)
coming from a bmw 525d i was a bit apprehensive about build and overall quality but apart from the dealers mistakes above im happy enough, need to find my camera so i can get some pics up!
going for a drive now - the roads heading towards my gym can be quite entertaining:D

Did you have any pics of the ad if it was used that showed the armrest and maybe the wheels not scuffed.

Its a bit naughty if the dealer has removed the armrest, there would be holes present though.

Get some pics up. Picked mine up on Wednesday and loving it....

no pics of the armrest but i did specifically go back to check and it had one - i was going to order it if it hadn't!
i can't be 100% about the alloys but im pretty certain i checked that though - would the dealer do these as standard on a demonstrator?
i will dig out my camera later on, its looking like its gonna rain though!

The alloys are a nightmare to keep un-scuffed the dealer has probably swapped them with another car that had damaged alloys if theyre 18's theyre £300 plus each.......

ok, heres the link.

my thoughts on my first weekend of drving it:
well, i am used to driving rear wheel drive bmws for the past 5 years so thats my bencmark now. the seat does not handle as well as either my previous 5 series or the 3 series but man, what a car! i was thinkin about gettin it tuned to 200+ bhp but its fine as standard spec in my book!
the steering is a bit light compared to what im used to as well but i guess i will get used to it.
it took me a day to realise that two button presses unlocks the other doors and boot - felt a bit stupid once i decided to read the manual!
having dricen an auto its really fun being in a manual again - revving the engine and choosing the gears YOU want is cool :)
overall, im happy with my purchase, my other option was a 1 series but this is a better car i think

It looks as if there are reversing sensors fitted (1st piccy). I can't seem to see these as an option in the current brochure or on the website so have they been done after buying it?

yup, dealer fitted for £195 quite cheap really considering it looks as though it could be a factory option!
