performance questions??

why is it that sometimes when i drive my car it feels like a train and others it feels like it couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding, its not limp mode either, does anyone else get this? im starting to hate this feeling, thanks guys daz

Ambient temperature will affect it.

Cold days the car will pull better

Even though you say its not limp mode, have you checked the MAF is reading correctly, have you got a boost guage to check the boost? Mine was undereading (~70-80g/s) and would only log faults rather than being a gimp. Slowed the car down in exactly the way you describe, without throwing any lights up.

ive had it on vagcom with no obvious signs of maf problems, thats the confusing bit, its so strange last night it felt painful to accelerate yet this morning it was pulling like mad?????????????? bloody thing, any thoughts

do osme logs on vag-com blocks, 020, 118 and 115 to see whats going on

These will show, intake temps, timing, MAF etc.

3rd/4th gear pull to the redline then post them and we will have a butchers
