GRR!! It really winds me up when I see people parked across two spaces - it's bloody ionconsiderate IMO! There's nothing more frustrating than trying to find a space in a busy car park and not being able to use a space because someone's hogging two spaces!

rant over.

I agree, parking in 2 bays near the shop entrance is asking for trouble, if I'm gonna do the 2 bay thing I do it over in the quiet corner of the carpark where nobody wants to walk to

edit, I also park in 2 bays in the quiet corner and buy 2 tickets, a couple of quid is cheeper than a bodyshop or an ensurance ncb loss

I'd rather wind some one up by parking across 2 spaces than come back and find another idiot has driven into my car just because they have an inability to park!!! Are you really saying that you would rather park between two sheds and risk coming back to your car with some nice scrapes and dings in it than park farther away accross 2 spaces to try and reduce the risk?? Or you just not bothered what your car bodywork looks like????? :(

I'm the same, I'd never park accross 2 spaces in a crowded car park, especially not near the entrance, those spaces are for the elderly, disabled people, families with small kids etc, but if there is plenty of space farther away ill do it to try and reduce the risk of my car getting damaged!!! Parked next to the wall when I went to the gym this morning so only one side was exposed. Came back later and there was an old 106 parked about 5inches away! I cant win!! :(

Maybe if all tatty sheds were :banned: from car parks the instances of cars getting damaged would decrease???

U obviously havent read my posts properly! All I try to do is discourage people from parking next to me (to reduce the chance of anyone opening doors onto my car or driving into it when they are "parking") by parking in an empty area of car park accross 2spaces, I wouldnt do it in a busy car park, cos as you said it is inconsiderate! I cant however see the problem if there is no one else in the area im parking in!!!!

I agree that if you park away from the busy areas it will help keep your car damage free and I try to do just that whenever I can, but I have issues with parking across two bays - even if the car parks empty when you arrive doesn't mean to say it will be later on in the day - IMO - 'Barry parking' :D

My silly ex-girlfriend once bumped into someone in a car park and drove off. She thought it was funny too. I made her go back and see if they were still there but they had gone. Poor person. She was the worst driver ever.

I park diagonally across two disabled parking spots. No excuses then for anyone to bump into my car [:@]:D
