Feels bad that of my two reviews here the bad one is much longer than the good, but I suppose there is always more detail to a mistake than getting things right first time!

The Bad - Pentagon SEAT Chilwell (Nottingham)

Well what can I say.

Nipped car into them on a Saturday morning back in September and started the longest running saga known to man!

All I wanted was melting Exeo headlights replaced under warranty, cue, telling me it wasn't warranty!

Once SEAT UK had been convinced that is was warranty the car went back to Pentagon to have them replaced. (Late November)

Courtesy car with no fuel in it (apparently company policy, but coming from having a VW and getting cars with fuel in a shock!)

Day later I get the car back with the new lights and the most awful effort at refitting a bumper I've ever seen! (It fitted perfectly before!) Cue claiming the wing to be damaged, but they'll book it back in and have another look (love the quality control!). Then to top it off first time I drive the car with the lights on one of them is loose and rattles around!

Three weeks later the car goes back in to have the bumper aligned and the light tightened up, cue more pointing out the wing has previously been repaired and there isn't much adjustment in the bumper fit.

So they have the car for a day again, ring me back to say they've done the best they can do but they can't do any better but they've managed to tighten a bolt they didn't know existed which stopped the light unit rattling round. At this point I'm expecting SEAT UK to make them get it right eventually!

Collect the car and am advised by the Service Manager that they don't want to see my car again as they are 'a little dealership who likes simple in and out jobs and they don't want the hassle of my car' this has apparently come from their General Manager!!

All this gets fed back to SEAT UK Customer Service who aren't overly fussed, pointing out that the dealers are franchises.

Week before Christmas the UK gets very damp and the lamp that was tightened up has leaked, letting dirty water in, ruining the lamp! Turns out in tightening the lamp it had been cracked, this was spotted by...

The Good - Bristol Street SEAT (Derby)

The week before the lamp leaked I'd booked the Exeo in for its first service at Bristol Street as it was clear Pentagon didn't want my business!

Nipped the car in the Saturday before to have them look at why the lamp had leaked where they spotted the crack in the top of the unit.

Spoke to SEAT UK who authorised Bristol Street to replace the lamp that Pentagon had broken.

Dropped the car off as agreed on New Years Eve, giving them a few days to do everything and showed them the pictures of Pentagon's efforts at refitting the bumper.

Collected the car last Saturday, clean, tidy, fully serviced, new lamp fitted, and amazingly (remembering what I was told above) the bumper fitted perfectly!

So Bristol Street I can't recommend enough professional modern dealership won SEAT dealer of the year last year judging by their twitter account!

Pentagon on the other hand avoid if you'd like your car back the way you dropped it off as this is hassle they don't want!

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them, I had the water pump on my ibiza go and to be honest I have nothing bad to say dropped it off on a Friday night went to work Saturday and got the back Saturday night after I finished albeit £450 pounds lighter lol but the car was washed, cleaned and best of all lol fixed. I will say this though as good an experience I had they were a lot better when they were a dedicated dealership and not a chain like pentagon who do Ernest enough every car going!

ive had some pretty mixed dealings with Bristol Street to be fair, I think its all about what side of the bed there staff get out of. once left my car for warranty work and it was bumped and sent back damaged, naturally I went mental!

On the other hand though ive had no issues with getting warranty work authorised etc. on my old car had 3-4 parts replaced under warranty in 2 years and there was never any quibbles over things, was case of yes that's covered lets fix it asap
