Wheres the guide in the mk2 section?? Id like a look at that cos my car is a mk2. I know the mk3 is pretty much the same but i wud rather look at a mk2 guide!

here's the thread from when my pedal box went.... http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=123151&highlight=battery

the thread title doesn't mention pedal boxes which is probably why you couldn't find it- maybe m0rk could change it?

the pics probably won't make much sense until you've had a look in the car.

hope it helps.

Rite got my car back and the pedal box had broken in a different place!! So the garage drilled a hole by the break and welded up the broken section and filled the hole full of weld!! I think it shud hold!!

I think it is rite now cos the pedal movement is so much easier than before and u need hardly any presure to move it now. Only problem is the biting point has moved lower :s Shud this get higher as the new clutch gets run in?? Hope it does cos u only have 2move the pedal up a about 5mm n ur at the bite.

Well when i got home after picking my car up i had a look at the pedal box and honestly the garage have put s*** loads of weld along all the joins etc and in a drilled hole beside the broken bit. I honestly dont think it will snap again!

I had this problem a couple of weeks ago, i ended up taking the pedal off and getting a mate to bend the metal flap back down (luckily mine didnt snap off) and weld all the way around it rather than the two spots that were on it to start with. Just remember to take the bush out before you get it welded or it will melt (oops, my bad) i have ordered the bush three times and each time the useful people at Seat have sent me the wrong part, i have been in to order it today and still they dont understand what i need! if anyone knows of the part code that would be useful?
