PD130, sounds good without air filter

Ok first off i tried this for 2 minutes, booted down the road and back just to hear it, so dont try it and keep it permanent, but see what you think!

if you unscrew the 2 screws that holds the top of the air filter box and lift it up slightly, start the engine then rev you'll notice a nice tail off sound when the engine's revs back down. The more you lift the air filter lid off the louder it is...course you cant keep it like that because theres no air filter to keep it clean but i was wondering whether a K&N would give you that?

I run the PD160 air intake on my FR, thus making the intake larger, and if you back off down a hill or on a flat in 2nd it makes a nice turbine whisling nose until you reach idle

I'm told performing a mufflerectomy gives a similar effect. One of these days I'll get round to getting mine done and hear for myself...
