I was thinking of replacing the filter for a 'Green' one. When I took the old one out it was green in colour. Is this a 'Green' filter or is the stadard one also green in colour?
Nope - what colour is the rubber seal around the outside? The standard paper filter is beige paper with an orangey rubber seal, the green panel filter is, er, green with a black rubber seal.
Cheers. Thats all I wanted to know. Mine is already a 'Green' filter.
I think I may now mod the air box with the larger diameter intake pipe. I think rubbing out the bottom of the box will be a waste of time though. I work and design compressed air systems and the space below the filter is a 'deadspace' where the flow is not laminar as in the pipe bore.
Certainly the larger intake you can get inthere the greater pressure differential in the deadspace area
