I also would love to know this!
My Ibiza is a 1.2 and standard at the mo so im startin small with the mods to sweeten it up a bit.
Gonna de-badge tomoro and remove rear wiper.
I presume there is a certain type of paint we need to use doin the callipers?

Cheers

It'll be my first debadging so fingers crossed, but the general idea iv gathered from different forums is:
Wash it well with warm water,
Heat up each bit with hairdryer (eg. I B I Z A) one at a time,
Dental floss em off,
Then wash rest of adhesive off and if necessary il go Halfords for some adhesive remover that wont take my paint off!
Then do the second letter, (eg B)
Dont suppose you know if you (or anyone) knows if you can get smoked/darker reflectors for the bottom of the rear bumper? If so, how to fit them, i thought i saw a pic somewhere but cant find it now :(

Let me know how you get on with the paintin too, i dont know what colour to go for, was thinkin just black cus Ibiza is Lunar Grey or whatever its called, the light metallic silver. What colours yours?

i also have a 1.2 12v in crono yellow.
I've sprayed my calipers/Drums black. Just took off the wheel and masked off the disk and any other part i didn't want to go black. Waited to dry and put wheel back on, simples!

I sprayed mine black as my car is yellow and black themed. Looks a lot tidier than ugly grey!

Did you do anything different to what i said before when you debadged? i really dont wanna make a mess and i AM nervous bout it tomoro. it sounds simple in the forums,
if anyones got any advice im all ears, i think the rear looks so much better without the
I B I Z A bit

Iv decided to paint em red this weekend, gonna jack it up and take wheel off.
Iv seen some Leons down Seat dealership near me with red and they look sexy

I debadged the I B I Z A aswell.. I just pulled them off! But if I was doing it again I recommend getting a heat gun (hairrdryer if you haven't got a heatgun) and heat the letters.
DON'T hold it on for too long or you'll make your paint go strange. Get some dental floss or fishing wire and pull it down behind the letters and they should come off easily.

If there's any glue left over, get some kitchen roll or a clean cloth and put some petrol on it and it'll take the glue off! Then give the area a nice polish to make the area shine like the rest of the car!

I just removed the letters with hot water and dental floss then scrape away the rest with a bank card. Then just keep putting tar remover on and leaving it a while till u can't notice it.

Cheers pal, nice car btw just had a look, where did you get the tinting spray from for your lights, they make a nice subtle difference. How much we talkin too? £:D

Love the colour too, cant remember seein any about in white

When I painted my callipers I took them off and painted them in Halfords high temp metallic red spray and finished with gunsons engine lacquer. gave a nice finish and hasn't chipped or flaked. Was easier to spray than paint in my opinion.

Cheers. It's not a spray, it's a sort of honeycomb film. Flyeyes it's called. Bout a tenner plus delivery. Easy enough to do.

I currently have red but will be changing these to silver, so it matches the silver grills and wing mirrors.

More of a sleeper look. ;)

Will be using high temp spray paint instead of a brush to get a nice bushless coat.
