That price is about right mate, the job should be A1. I'm thinking about having a full respray (with the exception of the back bumper, sills and roof). I'm wondering how much that will cost :S

I got the full passenger side, front bumper, bonnet and passenger wing done on mine for £650 cash (saved on VAT) done a fantastic job! couple of very little imperfections in tight corners but alot better than what it was! looks brand new now. very good garage too kept my informed as to when car would be ready and stages. do contract jobs for JAG, Renault, Merc's and BMW.

But as you said...you get what you pay for! but sometimes it can go the other way - like it did for me with my last car. Clio 172 cup keyed down back panel took it to a very well known garage for 'top' work, paid top price total was £380........had to take the car back 4 times to get sorted! 1st orange peel everywhere when I picked it up, 2nd not enough paint on primer showing through from different angles, 3rd condensation under the paint and last time again condensation.

I only took my car there as everyone I talked to said they 'are' the people who will do a good job.....

look good though mate! nice and red

you can buy a special clear film that goes over the front bumper and lips of areas prone to stone chips, either from power engineering or there is another product called venture shield we use it on race bikes and is quality.
search on the net and have a look cant see it once on and saves loads of money just ordered kit for my new 5 series

Surrey darling...
Sorry to hear that - it was looking mint!

Burn the damn shelves - it will help slightly but you'll end up needing to buy new shelves as well as needing to sort the body work out (again!)

Also, have you thought about removing the rear Leon lettering? I've done it to mine and it looks so much cleaner :)
