Pain In The Induction

Hey,

Long story short I was doing X mph on motorway and my 2.0 8v seem to just give up going any faster. A good 20-30 mph lower than what it should top out at. I mean im sure it would get there but would take for ever. I know they arent brill top end but then got to thinkin about the induction kit. Its a open air filter cone that was put on before i owned the car. I have heard before bout losing horse power cause of the hot air getting sucked back in. Do you think this could be the problem and a cold enclosed kit would make a world of difference? Cheers

closed induction kit is better then an open induction kit.

yeah your best bet is to either put a cold air feed in, or get an enclosed one, but that sounds like the problem, they hate hot air!

just found a decent kit on ebay so prob end up gettin that
