P1136 - Manufacturer Control

Mat

Guest
Hey guys,

I had this code come up last Sunday (22nd Nov), P1136 - Manufacturer Control. When I went to clear the code, I checked what it was at first and it came up as the above. (I was expecting it to be the usual Incorrect Air FLow bollocks that I usually get).

I cleared it last tuesday, and the EML has just cam back on (not scanned it yet)....

Does anyone know what it means? I was thinking possibly related to the N75 as I had unplugged mine and tried a mates a few days before?

TIA,

Mat

was that just after the trackday? could be to do with fueling, from what a quick google search said. not sure though

if it isnt back dont worry, could have been due to the trackday mate

Possible Solutions

Check Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor
Check Fuel Pressure Regulator
Check Fuel Pump
Check Intake/Exhaust System for Leaks
Check Secondary Air Injection for Leaks
Check Vacuum Lines for Leaks

;)

Ok, so as I said, I had the EML pop on again about a week or so ago, managed to scan the codes last night.

Got 2 codes, both saying Manufacturer Control again, one is P1136 (same as last time) & P1424

EDIT: Found this on a VW forum

check small vacume hose to deverter valve on the back of the head or your big air hoses from the air pump to the deverter valve
source: http://volkswagenforum.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-5729.html

Looks like I need to double check all lines
