Hello lads.
I have on going fault P0441 Evaporative Emission Control system Incorrect purge flow.
Keeps coming up.
Have anyone got Ideas what is the common solution to fix this problem??
I know roughly what it means, but is there something common that causes it on Leon?
My car is 2009 2.0 Tfsi FR petrol. 90,000km on the clock.

Thanks for the advice.

my cupra had this problem, took it to the dealers and it was the EVAP canister that needed replaced on mine. Done under warranty. The canister is like a round cylinder under the bonnet with a couple of pipes coming from it.

Been fine since.

Written about this many times (SEARCH!) but in my case I fixed it by replacing my N80 valve (front of engine). 20ish quid from Dave@SERE.

Or it can be the canister. Or it can be the filter which is housed under the spare wheel in the boot.
The N80 valve is temperamental though. Takes no time at all to replace

Thanks for the advice. I look into those options.
How can you easilly measure that the valve operates smooth.
Sorry but i didnt find anything by using search. Tried to search with the code and descriptions.

sorry to revive an old topic - but I have just had this come up. My brother owned the car before me and it came up for him he took it to a garage and the purge valve was replaced, this was about 2 weeks ago.

I have done a few short journeys and give it a bit of a blast as its new to me could this be the cause? that its not met the conditions required to release the vapours? I have cleared the code for now and will see if it comes back but just wondering where else i should be looking as under the bonnet is all new to me

If the N80 valve has been replaced it will most likely be the carbon canister as has already been said above

Ditto on the carbon canister, did mine a few years ago and the code went. It has returned recently once but frankly I can't be bothered to change again as it doesn't affect how the car drives.

What would the side effect be of leaving it? as I understand it vents the fumes out if the valve is not opening to let them out where does it then go? does it just vent to the atmosphere as opposed to being burnt in the engine?
