Hmmmm, very odd.

I can tell you for future reference that my 1.0 runs at about 80-90oC depending on the outside temperature (cold winters day, about 80, warm summer day about 90)

The pulling....got any noises, whirring or grinding? Had the gearbox oil changed recently? I ask because when I had my bearing replaced and gearbox oil changed, the car felt alot more eager - when you've only got a little bit of power, something small can be quite a noticable drag....
Didn't you have a problem with your brake switch too? Maybe something wasn't adjusted right and it is making the brakes stay on very slighty - are you noticing more brake dust?
It shouldn't need a cambelt change - thats every 40k so yours is well within time.

I need to get around to doing the gearbox oil and a fuel pump change, weather hasnt really been on my side. This Pulling feeling has only occured since the speedo stopped working and that only stopped working shortly after I had the thermostat etc changed. Its not actually braking at all just feels like it is  and when it happens it doesnt respond to any acceleration.
