Over Fuelling?

Here's the little story - had a warning light come on my dash about a month ago. Found out it needed a new MAF so replaced that last Friday. Couple of hours later i noticed my Ram Air induction kit had split, so replaced it wit the standard air filter. Yesterday i'd been driving it for 2 mins and black smoke started coming out the exhaust and i think it had gone into limp mode, because it just didn't wanna go anywhere!

Does anyone know what this might be? I've been told it might be over fuelling?

Haha yes. Is that not a good thing?

oi watch it tim ;)

All i did was to fix the dodgy dodgy ram air filter as much as i could.. then when we had more problems i put the standard air box back on..

Wasnt much else i could do.. I didnt break it :(

Plug it into vag-com and see what it says, if it's in limp mode it will be in there for a reason.

If it's over fueling it could be a failed lamba at a guess.

A lambda sensor fits into the exhaust, i'm not sure what it does exactly, pmsl.

I thought Dan had vag-com?

I agree with TimD, get it booked into the local garage and put on the diagnostics or bring your car on Wednesday and someone should have VAG COM there ;)
