Over Boosting Problem

Right get straight to the problem, my mate Ibiza Cupra keeps over boosting. Ever since hes had a bigger turbo fitted, its been a pain. Ive asked him for a list of the things thats added to the engine, its a 1.8 20vt cupra. Its had alsorts added to it, turbo boost controler etc. but still it plays up. from start, it'll pull straight to 90-100mph before it backs off to safe mood. then it'll crawl to 100. its started when the new turbo was fitted.

should be looking at 250-260 bhp i hope. its a k03s uprated hybrid turbo thats been fitted changed the n75 valve. changed the dump valve new spark plugs new coil packs air flow meter is fairly new. it aint boosting any more then 0.8 bar at the mo for some reason. changed all the vaccum hoses today as well as checking the pipe from turbro to intercooler and to throttle body. changed all the clips from the standard clipe to jubaley clips too.

it goes in next week to have its intercooler fitted, sport cat and have the center box taken out then the following weekend itsd going in to hopfully get remapped.

Joking aside... what 'boost control' do you mean? and what DV is it?

Could it be that it's not been assembled correctly since the turbo was fitted?

running a bigger turbo will make the ecu **** itself. get her remapped to include a non standard turbo for starters.

Dump Valve Exept one that was listed for the car

DV aint got a clue, ive sent a text asking him, so will get back to you on this one.

its been plugged into the comp, nothing came up about any errors etc. says running perfectly etc.

today hes changed the N75, put a new one on, the same.

superchipped for what tho? standard or what? they dont do "uprated remaps" over their normal pooperchip code.

Maybe a remap would sort things? Superchips?

maybe its the intercooler? maybe not big enough?
i have no idea but ive read a few threads and this has popped up a couple of times?

nah the intercooler heating the charge would only wind back timing , not drop boost on its arse.

it sounds like the standard ecu program (with the very mild superchip prog) is seeing the boost as being too high, going to limp mode but not logging it, maybe superchip chip is overriding it logging it as a fault... not sure on that bit.
