guys, dillemma, i have the opportunity to either purchase a whiteline rear adjustable arb or some 325mm disc upgrades for my porsche 996 brake setup, now it really is either or, 70 for the arb 125 fort he discs, im on 312mm discs now already so is the 325 gonna make as much of a noticeable mod as the arb like for like...

I'd say rear ARB. Your current brake set up isn't bad and I think you'd appreciate the handling improvent over the braking. I'd not feel safe in a car without tuned suspension (my OEM LCR is in dyer need of improvement) and throwing your car into a corner knowing that it's going to stick will give you BIG smiles. Tuned suspension is so much fun on the twisties :D and you can plan your braking a little easier than deciding if your car is going to step out on a corner, from a safety POV and IMO that is.

Id say roll bar too, dont know if you already have one but id consider uprating the front roll bar too if funds allow. The difference in slightly bigger discs wont be that noticable, but the difference roll bars make will be.Really helps with the handling big time.

Yeh,i think you will see more benefit from doing that compared to discs.I did ARBS first before anything else and the difference they made was great, made it a different car in the handling area. Its hard having to make a choice though aint it.

leon cupra has a 22mm front arb already mate.
for same price as the discs i can also do the s3 upper/lower struts i suppose
I would think as everyone above you will feel the benifit of the ARB's more than the bigger discs.
But you will need to stiffen the front up aswell at the same time so do the S3 strutt brace upper and lower.
It's not essential but a 4 wheels alignment after this is done would ensure that all is straight and true after the fitting
