Yeah well, we can't all afford Audi's m8

£20K on my Leon does not feel like I got ripped off neither, and, if your going to :censored: about build quality of the Leon, then you've clearly never driven one. Everything is solid, nothing rattles, and it feels built to last and does not look or feel cheap.

Both my MK4 Ibiza's had interiors that were a LOT worse, so the Leon is a welcome change and shows that Seat's build quality is getting better. You also have to remember that with the Ibiza's I had, they are a 5 year old design and cost a lot less.

You get what you pay for - I'm just not a badge snob, and dont believe that because a car wears a "lesser" badge it's an inferior product...

To be honest I found my Leon really rattly to start with, but the dealer sorted this out and it now feels really solid. I drove the mark 4 Ibzia Cupra Diesel a couple of years back and the Leon is a lot better built and had a much higher quality interior.

In my opinion it is up to the same standard as the current Golf, Focus and Astra. Much nicer than the Astra in fact.

I looked at Audi's the weekend before I ordered the Cupra. The A3 is just too expensive for what you get. Basic models are actually quite reasonable but for a 2.0 TFSi it's silly money.

For a few grand more I'd rather have a TT but at the time the waiting list was over 6 months.

Or maybe some can, but would prefer to spend the extra 5k for useful things, rather than 4 circles on the grille !!

i know someone who bought an A3 sportback TFSi dsg , had it 9 months got fed up with the trips to the dealers and got rid of it .. Back to VX he wen, so the grass isn`t always greener, more spondoolies doesn`t make it a better car ...

I have no rattles on my car, but the centre part of the dash is my pet hate - It is nasty and cheap looking in my opinion. Compare it to the likes of the A3 or Golf, and you see clearly that again they have ensured that the more expensive marques have more upmarket interiors (even if it is only the centre part of the dash that is that much better.

Having said that, if you can drag yourself away from this and the whole badge thing, you do get the same engines, gearboxes, chassis etc on the Leon as the A3 has, and all for a lot less ££.

If someone is prepared to pay £25k on a 2.0TFSi A3, good luck to them. Me, I would rather have my Cupra and my R1. Everyone is different afterall.

Im with you on the centre dash thing,It does look better with the double din sat nav but im not paying £1500
I also like the fact there is not that many on the roads
The A3 is a very common car now there eveywhere ,also looking a very dated car now in my opinion

i bought a cupra when they first came out in 2001 and it was excellent , felt and drive solid as a rock , but as soon as the car had a facelift with the euro cupra 4 bumpers the cars went down hill big time.
