oil pressure light query

I`ve just noticed that if i turn my ignition on the oil light comes on but then goes off again after a couple of seconds.
On every other car i`ve ever owned you have to turn the engine over to get the oil pressure up and only then will the light go out.
How come mine goes out without cranking the engine.
Maybe it`s normal but after fully rebuilding the engine i`d rather be safe than sorry.
Vag com shows no fault codes.

yea its normal. they pretty good for having the pressure there in the engine
