Briskoda / Olk Skool trackday at Bruntingthorpe last year, there was an ex-police senator (stripped out) there, me in the LCR, the usual Octy vRS's, etc etc.

Passed the stripped out senator so easily that I had a chat with the guy afterwards...

He said he wasn't surprised that I passed him, or even that the Octavia's were passing him, as the Senator is only about 200bhp, and still relatively heavy even when stripped out...
...I was having fun with a blimmin heavy ICE install in the boot!!

The Senator was great in its day, which is why the Police used them. The Rover SD1 with its 3.5l V8 was great in its day also, which is why the police used those... times do move on though. Just think what the next generation of cars are going to be like...

I havent read all of this thread... hell I got bored enough reading the entire thread on MIG but at the end of the day, who really gives a toss!?

Not really sure the comments about all vauxhalls being shite are fair either to be honest... I used to drive an Astra MK4 which I loved, ok it wasn't as fast or as well built as the LCR but I still really enjoyed driving it and at the end of the day who wants to be told what they drive is crap? I know I don't.

So why don't we all kiss and make up children?

my astra was crap.. others may be good but mine wasnt. :p ;) continuosly broke down every 5th week due to maf and had to reset battery. new maf was £400!

no offence given to vauxhalls but opinions given on vaux thread were guesses about cupra performance. lots of sweeping statments but little fact. amazing how defensive there thread got . made me smile.

bless them
