nice vid !

one question, i see in your sign u got TIP , forge dv but you dont have any blow off sound at all ??

when you go full throttle, you dont hear any blow off sound as it gets fully recirculative.
you would hear it when changing gear around 3k revs though.mine is pretty much the same.

Great video aswell

aup mate, i'm pleased you like the video:)

welll lets add it up:

1x night in folkestone was £52
2x nights at the ringhaus hotel was about £200
4x laps of the ring was about £70 (75 euro)

suprisingly the cupra averaged about 30 mpg at motorway speeds for the majority of the way minus short blasts at +140mph;) i got to folkestone on just under 3/4 of a tank and then filled up and got to ring on just over 3/4 of a tank and used about half a tank whilst i was there so at about £60 quid a tank on average i work that out to be about £200-£240 on fuel.

then just food and drink money say £75-£100 per person.

Totaling about £600-£650

i suppose its quite a lot for one weekend but all good fun, and will probably be spending it again next year!!!

there have been talks with my mates who came with me of saving to do Davos to Stelvio, the road on Top Gear down the side of the Alps!!! watch this space!

you are now officially the person im most jealous of. well, for a day or so anyway. that looked far too much fun not to do. ive had mine for a few months and im about to start modding it, but im hoping to track it beforehand just so i can see the difference. love the way you blitzed the porsche, that thing of yours sounds beautiful. nice vid, cheers.

Got back from the Nurburgring on Sunday night;) what an epic trip!

Car didn't miss a beat all trip was very pleased with the cars performance. Was overtaking m3's and Porsches:) Did a 9 minute 20 secondish lap I reckon. Unfortunately didn't get a recording of my quickest lap but if your interested take a look at my lap with missus in car;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duCXDSMJpLY

Anyway since coming back im thinking of my next mods in time for next year. At the moment the car is standard in the handling department and although the tyres did well at the ring the car did roll a bit through the corners. Therefore im thinking about ARBs (r32 front and the neuspeed rear ones - is this right?) to improve stability in the corners. Just wanted to ask how much difference they make and does it make the car feel much different in the twisties?

Im thinkin about strut braces too....any use?

Since the tyres could do with replacing soon now too wanted some advice on what are the best options. Ive heard Toyo r888 are good and they look the nuts too but expensive and i question the durability of basically a track tyre. any suggestions or advice?

Other than that mite look at fitting FMIC before next summer and will be aiming for 9 minutes next year!!!

Cheers guys

Well I had an R32 23mm Front ARB, S3 strutt brace and 28mm rear ARB, along with new wish bone bushes, fitted to 92,000 miles OEM strutts and springs.
The car felt very composed and cornered pretty flat with minimal body roll. I have been using Good Year Eagle F1 Asymmetrics for two years so far and love them in wet and dry.
I wouldn't buy R888's till you've got the handling a good bit stiffer. The handling is your achilies heal just now not the lack of track day tyres.

Another on very jealous, hope to get my ass down next year.
I have two track days booked for next month:)

Will keep a look out for you. I persume your staying in the bleau eke hotel in adenau. I'm staying up the road just before the Rewe super market in a appartment i found a couple of years ago. Cant wait for a spin in the taxi hope Sabine is our driver. I've done a lap in the Viper which is fast but very expensive. I'll be in my TDI 130 Ibiza on a 03 plate artic blue. this will be it's 19th trip to the ring:)

I'ts on 97 k and been 'messed' with from a week of buying it brand new. Had a turbo hose hole it' self on my last visit in may due to it rubbing on the engine (took 4 years to rub through) but no problems apart from that plus i've kept it out of the armaco so far:blink: We'll have to do some pax laps in each others car. I'll do 12 laps over the trip. :)
