Hey Mo, have the same brake noise except the ships horn noise you mention is usually at slow speeds when on full lock. Usually when parking in a car park space. Interested to know if the dealership does anything if you take it down that road, haven't bothered myself as a bit of a hassle especially if they just say it's normal. Will have to wait for the service but that's not until next year!

Hi Zak,

Yes same for me when reversing into a driveway with a 80% - 90% lock, although have not heard it for a while.
Recall hearing the break nose when was on a highway that was slowing down to a stop. I have a recording too.
I did end up booking her in to the local dealer and the Mechanic advised seems like light surface corrosion which will wear off eventually : ) ?
I have documented everything just to keep my self in the clear as brakes are a non warranty item.
Hopefully its just poor pads, which I could swap out for better quality ones in 4-5 months times.

Hi,

Visited the local dealer and been advised the noise I am getting is due to surface corrosion and the noise will eventually fade.
The second noise was not easy to replicate even though I shared a video. I am generally ok with the noises, as long as my brakes dont fail : )
For now, resorting to swiping the volume to the right, enjoy the music and drive!

Strange I have not had this on any other new cars in the past 7 years and I've had 9 of them from BMW and Audi . Why only the Cupra suffers noise from corrosion?

Guess I'll be asking this when my first service is due!

Any updates about the brake pads noise? My car is almost one year old, almost 20000km, and the brake noise is still here.
