no reverse???

iv got myself a 1.2 2004, iv bought it selvage with the engine mount broke, iv replaced the mount an the car starts an drives fine, but drives forward in reverse ??? its like its got 2 1st gear because it drives normal in 1st an does the same thing in reverse, if any1 got any idea would apreciate it

might be the gear link needs setting back up. just to make sure you are pushing down and right across to get reverse and not putting it in first thinking its reverse (i have done that before)

ye defo putting it into reverse push down and right across but doesnt seem to line up properly so think you are right in what you are sayin, do you no how to go about doing this? cheers
