Finally today I had the opportunity to check whether my car has launch control or not.
I was suspecting that it hasn't and sadly, that turned out to be right.

Before I tried it, I drove around a little bit, to bring the coolant and oil to working temperatures.
Then I stopped, switched ESC, drive mode and gearbox all to Sport.
Put my left foot on the brake and tried to rev the engine but it stays in 1000-1200 rpm band and refuses to go further.
This tells me that my 1.5 engine does not have the feature, if I'm not missing anything.
Not a big deal but I would have liked to be able to try it once at least.
I don't know whether this was decided by a technical necessity or it was just a marketing decision to give the feature only to bigger engines.
I felt like it is another way of reminding me that I have a measly 150 HP engine and I have to make do with it.

EDIT: The curious thing is that the related section in user manual never mentions about an exception for 1.5 engines.
Such exceptions are usually stated in the user manual clearly.
But of course this one might be gone unnoticed.

In the Manual is written:

First Break Then gear Setting

Yes, I noticed that later.
But I've seen some videos where people getting the launch control without following the exact procedure.
Not much hope but I will try again.

Everyone posts in forums about gasoline engines with 140 kW and above.......

"I know how to activate the Launch Control (LC) (after the vehicle's manual). It works great."

- Temperature must be reached

- ESC off

- No steering input

- Cupra mode on

- Left foot on the brake, at least for one second

- Right foot on full throttle

- LC activated appears on the display

- Foot off the brake and off you go
