Looking for some advice as my searching is failing me.

I've a 2003 130 TDi, generally has always been fine, however my heating through the vents/blowers has stopped.

Engine is getting up to temperature, sits at 90. All the blowers/aircon function, there's just no heat in the cab at all.
Had a quick look under the bonnet today, and it looks as though one of the rad fans (larger is not spinning). I'm guessing this isn't connected to the zircon/heat but not 100% sure.

Any ideas on simple things to test? I've got it booked in at my garage to be looked at Monday, but I'd rather have a poke around over over the weekend in case there's any obvious I'm missing.

feel the hoses that go through the bulkhead to the heater matrix to make sure they are getting hot if not you may have an airlock in the system try bleeding coolant system also check your radiator hoses to make sure they are both getting warm as the thermostat could be stuck and not allowing the warm water to circulate properly

Thanks for the reply. Just had a quick look this morning as it was dark last night. Coolant looks quite low. No obvious sign of a leak. Had read that levels can have some variance in the colder weather, is that right? Will check hoses once I’ve got to work and the engines warm.

So checked when I got to work. Pipes going into the bulkhead are warm. Presuming this means it’s something in the cab? The odd thing was last night I popped out and after about 20 mins driving, I could feel a bit of warm air coming through the vents. Only for a few mins and then seemed cold again.
