Nightmare

Car is struggling on idol every now and again with the EPC light coming on once. Doesn't happen all the time.

Anyway i linked up my mates Geniscan (VW/Audi) and it gave 5 fault codes 19534, 17972, 17579, 18012 & 17705. NOT one of the codes was in the manual.

Has this happened to anyone else? I have recently (week or 2 ago) done the n249 bypass and was wondering if that could be the problem?

Think ity may be something to do with the throttle or fuel pressure?

Any help would be appreciated

look in vagcom section, theres a thread explaining what all fault codes mean... should point you in the right direction.. if not then a vagcom scan will sort you out

17972 P1564 Idle Speed Contr.Throttle Pos. Low Voltage During Adaptation
18012 P1604 Internal Control Module Driver Error

19534? Cant find

Does this look like it could be to do with the n249 bypass?????

I'd personally clear those codes and scan it again after the problem has occured........some of those codes could have been on there years and nothing to do with your problem.

I have cleared them. I will run it for a day or so cause its running fine just now.

If the problem comes back i will take the bypass of and see if that helps.

Cleared this a couple of weeks ago and this morning the problem is back, idle problems and no power when up and going. The EPC light comes on, not tried running it again yet.

Log it again tonight when i get home from work and take note of Codes to see if its the same as before

New Codes: 17950 - Throttle Actuation Potentiometer Range/Performance
Also got: 01314 (Dunno what it is but it was done on the ABS Scan)

Cleared all codes and running fine again, i honestly think though its to do with the n249 bypass so i am switching back

01314 is to tell you you have a code stored in the normal DTC bank....you won't be able to clear this code until you have reset or fixed the others.
