So I might be getting a nice little bonus soon from work and trying to figure out what to buy for the car next?

Had a chat with Sam the other night about getting a FMIC and Sam being the great guy he is helped me find a good set up.

Looking at a Forge intercooler and custom pipe work which is very tempting as the price works out to about £280.

Not sure if I'm going to go to a stage 2 yet so is it still worth going for the intercooler or should i buy something else?

nick fmic should be fitted as standard, these engines run far to hot so imho its a good investment
cooler the engine and intake temps the better

Good to hear your oil leak wasnt bad, it was oil filter not screwed on all the way wasnt it?

yeah me and kirst are good, shes still crazy lol
im off to badger5 saturday morning, getting my manual boost controller set up correctly, this is to stop my turbo spiking so high (1.9bar 28psi) i think bill is going to set it to hold boost around 24psi and this should hold longer and keep things cooler =more bhp well hopfully but we are both not banking on it.
oil leak was the filter aparantley, but i hope the garage are not just saying that because they cant be arsed lol

A forge cooler and custom for that price? How? I've seen the forge sets and they're circa £600! Sounds good though mate and nice motor Can't wait to get a FMIC they look awesome if you get coloured pipework.

Its the Type 08 intercooler.

Then get the pipework off ebay which is about £70 and some 90 degree silicone bends and thats it.

Priced it all up the other night, I was pretty shocked as it will hopefully be a good quality set up as the intercooler is Forge.

Ah nice one! I'm playing with the idea of the toyo cooler which is £100 cheaper, but if it means I lose my fogs then I'd rather pay out for the forge kit to be honest! You going to get coloured silicon bends?

Yeah going red . Not 100 percent sure if you can keep the fogs with this one either but gunna give it a go anyways and try and make it work.

Yeah thats the link you sent me. Can you get the hose in red though? I'm guessing yes as all yours is red lol.

yeah i will do m8 probably on the way home from bills. i will call you before i leave. im just working out how to secure my manual boost controller. it weighs about the same as a dumpvalve. i will be fitting it next to my catch can, do i screw it or use rivets ? this is a good question for you

there will be 2 rivets at 3mm or screws
