Newbie Q - What Oil for Leon 1.8t with 91k

Hi

I know the "What Oil" question has been asked but all the answers revolve around the Cupra models with lower mileage.

I have a standard Leon 1.8t 180bhp with 91k miles.

Can you please advise what oil you would recommend for this.

All answers are greatly appreciated as I have spent an hour looking around and cannot find a conclusive answer.

standard 5w30 IMHO!

not really any standard 5w 30, oil is the most important part of the engine guys.... look in the sticky thread on top of this section.. gives the vw code that MUST be followed when buying oil. 505.00, 506.00 etc etc

now look on opies oils.co.uk and type in what car you have and it will show you what oils are recommended, alternativly, use the search function to here... works a treat if you just use it..

by saying standard I meant the VW coded 5w30 just to be clear!

Just to point out that the same oil goes in the car at space shuttle milage as when the cars brand new lol
