I think there was something similar done with the Ibiza, it had extra tech (full link I think) and had black detailing if I remember correctly. Think it was a special limited offer. So need to enquire what the extras are.

Probably black line pack included. The spec on the link says bucket seats but seen the standard ones called this on generic spec listings so hard to tell.

Just to update this the Cupra 290 is now sold in two variants in the UK.

Cupra 290 Black is black line, black multi spoke and bucket seats as standard in the list price of the car.

FR has been split too to an FR titanium trim which includes titanium pack, side skirts and spoiler along with the tech pack as standard. Not sure what that means for the basic FR trim if Seat UK will keep that tech pack inclusion on top.

Ah that make sense, the brochure with the 290 black is already available for download - check it out, there are some pretty comprehensive changes so it makes me doubtful about seeing a facelifted model until 2017

Cool...you got a link. Was looking but couldn't find it.

Thanks

Yep. You can't even add the Black Line Pack to a regular car. If you want it, you have to buy the Black spec which (like all good "packs") may well include stuff you don't want. In my case, I have no interest in multi-spoke wheels or bucket seats. Interestingly, there's no longer an option to spec the multi-spoke wheels or the Sub8 stuff either, as far as I can see.

Facelift is indeed coming. Add the stuff you want shot of and remove the stuff you don't want to reorder. :D

The Cupra black line can be built now on the configurator. It seems to include the black line, yes and the Sub8 pack in which you can spec with the larger Satnav

Sub 8 pack still available in the brochure under exterior options and on the configurator.

Going to see one tomorrow, funny thing is that the description says black line but i can see in the pics that the front seats have detachable headrests. assume they arent the bucket seats and that some fool has added the extras onto a normal 290.

The black line pack put black badges on, black mirrors and black spokes on the wheels

The Black Edition put the multi spoke alloys, black mirrors and badges and heated bucket seats in.

Check if it's black line or black edition
