passenger side is infront of the battery...
its bolted through one of the bolts which holds a sensor in the intercooler pipe (map sensor?!) and also cable tied in place... its very secure!
and its hidden well, but looks good at the same time. you can only see it when you lean over so to speak.
drivers side...
again i mounted it to the washer bottle, this time literally with the sticky pad supplied, which is very strong! (still keeping my eye on it!)
overall look... as you can see they don't look out of place!
so where are your ballasts for the headlights???lol
Mine are basically where yours are for the fogs
*edit* i see drivers side one, uve got two on the washer bottle
i assume the passenger side one is inside the wing (where the air box fixes to it) - that's where mine is
Ultra ones are H1 aren't they James? Can't frappin remember

Could you offer any advice on how to fit the rear strut brace? Ive had mine delivered and up for trying the weekend! but ive heard from other threads that you need to remove the boot lining to get under the carpet or something along those lines and its apparently a right nightmare...
Also what type of bolts would you recommend, as none came with the item.

you need to buy four 8mm bolts with locking nuts and I also used a washer at the end of each bolt too.
It is a bit tricky to do but I could do another one in about 30 mins I would say! (ok thats no help but what I mean is once you know what your doing its easy)
by the way... imo I would fit the brackets my way as its neater and just as strong because its the same surface area being bolted to the car! if anything I would say if there was a difference in strength I would say my way was best IMO
1. you need to pull the carpet back where the mounts go, and to do this you need to undo the 3 screws to the supports which hold the parcel shelf in place and remove them so you can pull the carpet out of the way.
2. fit the brackets using one bolt each side in the holes already there.
3. remove the OMP silver bar
4. drill a 8mm hole where the 2nd bolt needs to go either side.
5. remove the brackets and put the carpet back into place and use a stanley knife to cut a hole where the bolts go.
6. put a washer on each bolt and push each bolt from behind the metal frame, through the carpet and into the brackets and put a nut on the end, do finger tight
this is the tricky bit as you can only get a little finger behind the bolt head to hold it whilst you do it up, or it can spin! luckily the carpet grips the bolts quite well and I managed to get the nuts on just fine!
7. fit the silver OMP bar back into place making sure the nuts for this are tight
8. go back over the 4 locking nuts and do then up as tight as possible. you may find you need to use some mole grips etc to hold the bolt so you can tighten the nut as much as possible.
9. once its all tight refit the parcel shelf mountings and bobs your uncle!

Does anyone think by removing the sound deadening off the bonet will cause damage to the bonnet paintwork if its left of permantly.
I removed mine today and the noise from the split R was quite good. and it looks tidier

I think it will be fine Phil otherwise I wouldn't have done mine!
a LOT of cars run high power and no under bonnet sound deadning and their paint is not affected by the extra heat!
if anything the bonnet will get less hot as the heat is escaping much better and isn't soaked up by the sound deadning.
also a lot of cars dont even come with sound deadning under the bonnet!
